Makasar Tour Packages and Snorkeling 5 Days 4 Nights

Day 1: Arrival in Makassar – Transfer to Rantepao (L, D)

Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, our tour guide will welcome you. Then, we drive to Tana Toraja, an 8-hour journey through Buginese villages with their unique wooden houses on stilts.

Our first stop is Sumpangbinangae, a Bugis fishermen village. Here, you will see their traditional Pa’bagan fishing system and daily activities. Next, enjoy lunch at Kupa Beach Restaurant, which offers a stunning sea and island view.

In the afternoon, we stop at Puncak Lakawan for a coffee break while admiring the spectacular view of Mount Buttukabobong. By late afternoon, we arrive in Rantepao, the capital of North Toraja. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Full-Day Tana Toraja Tour (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will start exploring North Tana Toraja. Our first visit is Kete Kesu, a UNESCO-listed Torajan village known for its traditional houses and ancient graves.

Next, we head to Londa, where you will find the world’s strangest and most spectacular burial site. Then, we visit Bolu Buffalo Market, where you will learn why buffalos are important in Toraja funerary rites.

We continue to Bori, where you will see ancient monoliths and a traditional house decorated with over 300 buffalo horns. After that, we visit the Sa’dan Weaving Center, where local women weave Toraja’s famous Ikat and Sarong. The village offers an authentic ambiance with traditional houses, a river, and rice terraces.

Our next stop is Pallawa, an ancient village that shows how Torajans live in their communities. Then, we drive up to Tinimbayo Highlands for breathtaking views of wild rice terraces and scattered villages.

Lunch is at Saman Batutumonga Café & Restaurant, which offers a fantastic panoramic view of Rantepao. After lunch, we visited the giant rock of Lo’komata, which is filled with ancient graves.

In the afternoon, we take a soft adventure to Landorundun, a remote village perfect for a peaceful walking tour. You will see impressive villages and marvelous rice fields. Then, we return to Rantepao via Buntulobo. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Tana Toraja – Pekkae Eco Lodge / Transfer Out (B, L)

After breakfast, we drove back to Makassar via the same road as on the first day. Along the way, we stop again at Puncak Lakawan, but this time to see the erotic mountain from a different angle. Lunch is served at a local restaurant in Pare-Pare.

In the afternoon, we arrive at Pekkae Eco-Lodge, which sits peacefully on the riverbanks of Pekkae. Here, you can relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Snorkeling at Cangke Island + Rammang-Rammang Adventure (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will drive for 45 minutes to Labbakkang Traditional Harbor in Pangkep. From there, a speedboat takes us across the Makassar Strait to Cangke Island, a small but stunning island.

Here, we spend 1-2 hours snorkeling, exploring the island’s colorful coral reefs and diverse marine life. A picnic lunch is served on the island. After lunch, we take the boat back to Labbakkang and continue our journey to Rammang-Rammang.

At Rammang-Rammang, we cross the Puteh River by boat to reach Kampung Berua, a remote village with only 17 families. The peaceful atmosphere and dramatic limestone cliffs make it a perfect place to explore. Dinner and overnight stay at Rammang-Rammang Eco-Lodge.

Day 5: Rammang-Rammang / Transfer to Airport (B, L)

After breakfast, we will take the boat back to the Rammang-Rammang jetty. Then, we drive 15 minutes to Leang-Leang Prehistoric Park, where we explore some of the world’s oldest cave paintings.

Next, we visit Parangtinggia, known as the village of bats, because thousands of bats live in its limestone caves. After that, we will have lunch at a local restaurant in Maros.

In the afternoon, we will transfer to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar for your departure flight.
