YOGYAKARTA, DAY 1
Welcome to Yogyakarta! We will greet you at the airport upon your arrival. Ideally, you should start your day before 9 a.m. to make the most of your trip. First, visit the stunning Borobudur Temple, which is a must-see because of its breathtaking architecture and rich history. Next, explore the unique Bukit Rhema Gereja Ayam or Svargabumi, both offering great photo opportunities and a tranquil atmosphere. Afterward, head to Yogyakarta city and take a leisurely stroll along Malioboro Street, where you can soak in the local vibe. Finally, check into your hotel, enjoy a delicious dinner, and rest for the night.
YOGYAKARTA, DAY 2
Start your day with breakfast, and then head to Kaliurang to explore the foothills of Mount Merapi. Here, you can enjoy an adventurous jeep ride and visit the remnants of bunkers affected by the Merapi eruption. Later, visit the magnificent Prambanan Temple, which is known for its intricate carvings and impressive towers. As the day continues, drive to Gumuk Pasir Parangkusumo, where you can try sandboarding and enjoy a stunning sunset. Return to your hotel for dinner and some rest. If you’re up for it, enjoy the vibrant night scene at Alun-Alun Kidul before heading back to the hotel.
YOGYAKARTA-SURABAYA, DAY 3
After breakfast, check out and visit the Taman Sari Water Castle, a beautiful site filled with history and charm. From there, take a relaxing becak (pedicab) ride to Keraton Jogja. After exploring, begin your six-hour drive to Surabaya. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to explore the city’s nightlife.
SURABAYA-BROMO, DAY 4
Have breakfast and check out to start your journey to Mount Bromo. Along the way, stop at Madakaripura Waterfall, which requires a short and scenic walk—so be prepared to get wet! Once you arrive at your hotel near Bromo, enjoy your free time and rest to prepare for the next day’s adventure.
BROMO-IJEN, DAY 5
Wake up early at 3:30 a.m. for a jeep ride to the sunrise viewpoint at Kingkong Hill or Penanjakan Hill. We’ll aim for a less crowded spot, so you can enjoy the spectacular view of Bromo National Park. Afterward, take a photo stop at Lembah Widodaren and ride through the sea of sand before hiking up to Bromo Crater. Once you return to your hotel, enjoy breakfast, freshen up, and check out. Then, start your six-hour drive to Ijen Crater. Take a short coffee break along the way, and if time permits, visit the beautiful Twin Waterfalls before settling into your hotel for the night.
IJEN-AIRPORT TRANSFER, DAY 6
Get ready at 1:00 a.m. and drive to the starting point of Ijen Crater. Begin the trek, which takes about 1.5 hours, and descend into the crater to witness the mesmerizing blue fire. Afterward, hike up to the sunrise point to marvel at Ijen’s turquoise lake. Once you return to the starting point, we’ll drop you off at Ketapang Harbour if you’re heading to Bali, or take you back to Juanda Airport or your hotel in Surabaya, concluding the trip by around 5 p.m.
