Baliem Valley trekking is one of the highlights of visiting Papua. Get a chance to trek through the beautiful countryside of Papua. Drive 40 minutes from Wamena, and you will arrive at Sogokmo Village, the Baliem Valley trekking starting point. Baliem Valley Trekking’s scenery is incredibly beautiful. Explore the traditional Papuan tribe, small villages, and local people working in the field while trekking down the valley.
Baliem Valley Tour Guide At the arrival gate of Sentani Airport in Jayapura, you will meet our guide. Then you will be assisted to the departure terminal for your next flight to Wamena. Arrive at the Wamena airport and meet our local English-speaking Baliem Valley tour guide. For the time being, only local English-speaking guides are available.
For a group tour, we could arrange a request for a guide translator in other languages at extra cost from other regions of Indonesia (mainly Sulawesi or Bali). The extra cost is applied to cover the guide’s expenses (guide fees, flight tickets from and to the place of origin, meals, and accommodations). The more participants in your group, the cheaper the extra cost will be, as it will be shared among your group participants.
