4 Days Tanjung Puting Jungle Trail
Day 01: Arrival at Pangkalanbun – Camp Leakey (–D)
Arrive at Pangkalanbun Airport. Meet your guide and transfer to Kumai Harbor. Board a traditional klotok boat and cruise up the Sekonyer River. Enter the forest and encounter orangutans, proboscis monkeys, macaques, and gibbons. Spot hornbills and freshwater crocodiles along the riverbanks. Dinner and overnight on the klotok houseboat. Optional: Night trek.
Day 02: Pondok Tanggui – Camp Leakey (BLD)
Wake up to jungle sounds and enjoy breakfast on board. Cruise to Pondok Tanggui, an orangutan rehabilitation center. Continue upriver through the dark red waters to Camp Leakey. Explore this research and rehabilitation hub. Trek through tropical forests, discover wildlife, and admire exotic flora. Return to the klotok for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Pelasat – Tanjung Harapan (BLD)
Breakfast on the klotok while cruising to Pelasat Forest. Visit the replantation site and learn about conservation efforts. Proceed to Tanjung Harapan village for a cultural experience. Trek jungle trails for more wildlife adventures. Enjoy meals and spend the night on the boat.
Day 04: Return to Pangkalanbun (B–)
After breakfast, cruise downstream to Kumai Harbor. Transfer to Pangkalanbun Airport for your onward journey.
